Resumen
El proyecto mente abierta: Fortaleciendo la salud mental en los adolescentes del club de patinaje Arrow Skaters de San Andrés Islas, tiene como objetivo lograr el mejoramiento de esta problemática desde la acción y el empoderamiento de los mismos, dónde ellos sean quienes gestionen sus propias emociones y sentimientos, como también brindarle las herramientas necesarias para que lleven de forma adecuada sus procesos internos. Con respecto a los resultados que se buscan obtener, está aumentar la conciencia sobre la salud mental, el desmitigar tabúes, empoderarnos y reducir barreras mentales. Los principales beneficiarios de este proyecto serán los adolescentes que se encuentren entre el rango de edades de 12 a 16 años de edad, con la característica principal que son deportistas.
La metodología a utilizar está enfocada hacia el enfoque cuantitativo para dar cuenta que la acción que se está realizando está generando aspectos positivos en los adolescentes. Algunos aspectos relevantes dentro del contexto local de San Andrés Isla que influye en la realización exitosa del proyecto se encuentran la cultura y las tradiciones inmersas dentro de la comunidad, lo que conlleva a que se sigan preservando los tabúes sobre la salud mental; lo que representa un desafío a nivel social para los adolescentes que quieren buscar ayuda y para los profesionales interesados en intervenir en esta problemática. El proyecto representa una valiosa contribución a la comunidad de San Andrés Islas, al proponer aportar a la solución de la problemática de salud mental, a través de la sensibilización, reeducación y promoción del diálogo como herramientas para reducir el estigma que existe frente a esta realidad.
The open mind project: Strengthening mental health in adolescents from the Arrow Skaters skating club of San Andrés Islas, aims to achieve the improvement of this problem through action and empowerment, where they are the ones who manage their own emotions. and feelings, as well as providing the necessary tools to manage their internal processes. Among the results sought to be obtained is to increase awareness about mental health, demystify taboos, empower ourselves and reduce mental barriers. The main beneficiaries of this project will be adolescents who are between the age range of 12 to 16 years of age, with the main characteristic that they are athletes. The methodology to be used is focused on the quantitative approach to realize that the action being carried out is generating positive aspects in adolescents. Some relevant aspects within the local context of San Andrés Isla that influence the successful completion of the project are the culture and traditions immersed within the community, which leads to the continued preservation of taboos regarding mental health; which represents a challenge at a social level for adolescents who want to seek help and for professionals interested in intervening in this problem. The project represents a valuable contribution to the community of San Andrés Islas, by proposing to contribute to the solution of the mental health problem, through awareness, re-education and promotion of dialogue as tools to reduce the stigma that exists in the face of this reality. .
