Resumen
La práctica artística del rap en contextos urbanos y fronterizos se constituye como un espacio de expresión emocional, construcción identitaria y transformación social. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y las dinámicas artísticas y sociales del rap cucuteño, identificando su influencia en procesos creativos, expresivos y comunitarios, así como estrategias de fortalecimiento emocional. Se desarrolló desde el paradigma interpretativo con enfoque cualitativo, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas a tres raperos activos de Cúcuta y análisis cualitativo de contenido apoyado en una matriz categorial. Los resultados evidencian que la inteligencia emocional influye en la exposición pública al facilitar el manejo de ansiedad y frustración previas al escenario.

The research was conducted under an interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with three active rappers from Cúcuta and qualitative content analysis supported by a categorical matrix. The findings show that emotional intelligence influences public performance by facilitating the management of anxiety and frustration prior to going on stage.
