In recent years, manual and artistic activities have emerged as innovative practices for promoting well-being in the workplace, as they support emotional regulation, physical relaxation, and the strengthening of social bonds. In this regard, artisanal weaving stands out as a practice that, according to various studies, provides mental health benefits, contributes to emotional management, and promotes social cohesion. However, in Colombia, and particularly within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), there is a theoretical gap in the literature regarding studies that address weaving as a comprehensive workplace well-being strategy. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to design an improvement plan for the comprehensive well-being strategy known as the Weaving Circle at Simón Bolívar University, Barranquilla campus, based on an analysis of its implementation, an understanding of the well-being experiences of its participants, and the identification of elements that can guide its institutional strengthening. The study adopted a qualitative approach with a phenomenological-hermeneutic design and an interpretive scope. Data were collected through qualitative techniques, including in-depth semi-structured interviews and a focus group. Participants were members of the Well-Being Artisans Group, employees of Simón Bolívar University who perform different institutional roles, including administrative staff, faculty researchers, administrative assistants, and general services personnel.
