Resumen
El presente trabajo se inscribe en los estudios sobre desarrollo territorial, innovación y sostenibilidad, y analiza la articulación entre la innovación responsable y las capacidades dinámicas como enfoques estratégicos para fortalecer procesos de desarrollo territorial sostenible. Parte del reconocimiento de que los territorios enfrentan problemáticas complejas, como brechas socioeconómicas, fragmentación institucional, presión ambiental y desigualdades en oportunidades, que exigen respuestas integrales y socialmente orientadas.
La innovación responsable incorpora criterios éticos, sociales, ambientales y de gobernanza en los procesos innovadores, promoviendo la participación de actores territoriales y la generación de valor social. No obstante, su implementación enfrenta limitaciones asociadas a desarticulación institucional y asimetrías de capacidades. Complementariamente, la teoría de las capacidades dinámicas permite comprender cómo organizaciones y territorios identifican oportunidades, movilizan recursos y reconfiguran estrategias ante entornos cambiantes, fortaleciendo ecosistemas de innovación orientados a la sostenibilidad.
El estudio adopta un enfoque analítico y aplicado, sustentado en revisión crítica de literatura y análisis conceptual. Los resultados evidencian que la integración de ambos marcos favorece modelos territoriales más resilientes, al combinar orientaciones normativas con capacidades de adaptación y coordinación. Se concluye que avanzar hacia enfoques integrados contribuye al diseño de políticas y estrategias de innovación territorial orientadas al bienestar social, la sostenibilidad y la cohesión territorial
This research is framed within studies on territorial development, innovation, and sustainability, and analyzes the articulation between responsible innovation and dynamic capabilities as strategic approaches to strengthen sustainable territorial development processes. It recognizes that contemporary territories face complex challenges, including socioeconomic gaps, institutional fragmentation, environmental pressures, and inequalities in access to opportunities, which require comprehensive and socially oriented responses. Responsible innovation incorporates ethical, social, environmental, and governance considerations into innovation processes, promoting the active participation of territorial stakeholders and the generation of social value. However, its implementation faces limitations related to weak institutional coordination and asymmetries in organizational and technical capacities. Complementarily, the theory of dynamic capabilities explains how organizations and territories identify opportunities, mobilize resources, and reconfigure strategies in changing environments, thereby strengthening innovation ecosystems oriented toward sustainability. The study adopts an analytical and applied approach, based on a critical literature review and conceptual analysis. The findings indicate that integrating both frameworks supports more resilient territorial models by combining normative guidance with adaptive and coordination capacities. It concludes that advancing toward integrated approaches contributes to the design of territorial innovation policies and strategies aimed at social well-being, sustainability, and territorial cohesion.
