This study analyzed the impact of workload overload on stress levels among healthcare workers in Colombia. The research focused on the increasing workload demands faced by healthcare personnel and the potential relationship between these demands and occupational stress. Specifically, factors such as healthcare service demands, extended working hours, staff shortages, and the growing number of responsibilities assigned to healthcare workers were examined. These conditions were found to generate physical, emotional, and psychological effects on employees, affecting not only their well-being and quality of life but also their job performance and the quality of patient care. The study was conducted under a quantitative approach, supported by the collection and analysis of numerical data obtained through a documentary review. A deductive method was employed, drawing on theories, concepts, scientific studies, and academic publications related to workload, occupational stress, and workplace well-being.
