Resumen
Esta investigación busca conocer la influencia que tiene el Estadio General Santander como espacio de construcción de identidad a la población cucuteña. La investigación se llevó a cabo en los alrededores de Estadio General Santander en el Barrio Lleras Restrepo de la ciudad de San José de Cúcuta con la comunidad aledaña a este sector, se planteó un problema de investigación y tres delimitaciones, una conceptual, una espacial y una temporal. Con la investigación se propuso un objetivo general que consistió en determinar la incidencia del Estadio General Santander como capital cultural en la construcción de identidad en la ciudad de Cúcuta, a través de los imaginarios colectivos de la comunidad residente en su área de influencia; y tres objetivos específicos que fueron describir el entorno del área de influencia del Estadio general Santander, mediante la caracterización de sus componentes espacial, social y cultural; analizar el nivel de identificación simbólica del Estadio General Santander como sitio de interés colectivo para la ciudad de Cúcuta y estimar el grado de contribución del Estadio General Santander en la construcción de identidad colectiva en la ciudad de Cúcuta mediante el ejercicio etnográfico. La metodología bajo la cual se enmarca es un enfoque cualitativo, con paradigma interpretativo y diseño etnográfico a través de herramientas de recolección de información como entrevistas dirigidas, semiestructuradas y grupo focal. Los principales resultados, fueron que le Estadio General Santander se considera como un escenario de integración de deportistas, empresarios, comerciantes, aficionados y familias, que se reúne para la práctica y el disfrute de las diversas actividades que se desarrollan en este lugar, el cual contribuye en la construcción de sus propias identidades. Así mismo, que la incidencia del Estadio General Santander en la construcción de identidad en la ciudad de Cúcuta y de los imaginarios colectivos de los residentes aledaños a este, infieren que estos espacios fortalecen la integridad colectiva y contribuyen activa y voluntariamente al desarrollo social.
This research seeks to know the influence that the General Santander Stadium has as a space for the construction of identity for the Cucuteña population. The investigation was carried out in the surroundings of the General Santander Stadium in the Lleras Restrepo neighborhood of the city of San José de Cúcuta with the community surrounding this sector, a research problem and three delimitations were raised, one conceptual, one spatial and a temporary one. With the research, a general objective was proposed, which consisted of determining the incidence of the General Santander Stadium as a cultural capital in the construction of identity in the city of Cúcuta, through the collective imaginaries of the resident community in its area of influence; and three specific objectives that were to describe the surroundings of the area of influence of the General Santander Stadium, through the characterization of its spatial, social and cultural components; analyze the level of symbolic identification of the General Santander Stadium as a site of collective interest for the city of Cúcuta and estimate the degree of contribution of the General Santander Stadium in the construction of collective identity in the city of Cúcuta through the ethnographic exercise. The methodology under which it is framed is a qualitative approach, with an interpretive paradigm and ethnographic design through information gathering tools such as directed, semi-structured and focus group interviews. The main results were that the General Santander Stadium is considered as a scenario for the integration of athletes, businessmen, merchants, fans and families, who meet to practice and enjoy the various activities that take place in this place, which contributes to the construction of their own identities. Likewise, that the incidence of the General Santander Stadium in the construction of identity in the city of Cúcuta and of the collective imaginations of the residents surrounding it, infer that these spaces strengthen collective integrity and actively and voluntarily contribute to social development.
