The diabetic foot represents one of the causes of greater morbidity and disability in people with Diabetes Mellitus. This population that suffers from this pathology involves up to 70% of amputations, mostly triggered by associated factors such as diabetes control, adherence to treatment, comorbidities such as high blood pressure and cigarette smoking, among others, which include a important role in its genesis. The objective of this study is to determine the factors that are associated with the incidence of diabetic foot in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus in order to take preventive measures to reduce their incidence in the population that affects a large part of the population.
