dc.description.abstractEl inicio de la vida sexual cada vez a una edad más temprana trae consigo el riesgo de aumentar las tasas de embarazos no deseados, aumento de la morbimortalidad materna, fetal e infantil y las limitaciones sociales resultantes como deserción escolar e inicio de rol laboral más tempranos; en Colombia aproximadamente el 18% de las mujeres entre los 13 y 19 años han tenido influencia en sus pares para el inicio de la vida sexual en comparación al 6.6% en los hombres del mismo rango etario. [ENDS-2015] y las estadísticas del DANE para el año 2018 evidenciaron una tasa de nacimientos de madres adolescentes de 19.05% entre los 15 y 19 años de edad, con un nivel educativo promedio de básica secundaria alrededor del 42% y sin ningún grado de educación alrededor del 8% en el Caribe Colombiano, no alcanzando uno de los objetivos del milenio que es lograr una tasa de embarazo en adolescentes por debajo del 15%. dc.description.abstractThe onset of sexual life at an earlier age brings with it the risk of increasing unwanted pregnancy rates, increased maternal, fetal and infant morbidity and mortality and the resulting social limitations such as dropping out of school and starting work. earlier In Colombia, approximately 18% of women between the ages of 13 and 19 have had influence in their peers for the beginning of sexual life compared to 6.6% in men of the same age range.
